Utility Accounts Specialist- Part-Time

The Town of Ahoskie is currently seeking a part-time Utility Accounts Specialist to assist with utility billing, collection activities and responding to customer service inquiries at Ahoskie Town Hall. Further information and a detailed job description can be found in the pdf link below. This position has a pay rate of $13.00 hourly and will open until 5:00 pm on August 4, 2025.

Meter Technician

The Town of Ahoskie is seeking a qualified Meter Technician. Duties include locating and reading meters (mostly radio read), replacing meter reading equipment, meters and meter boxes and associated equipment. Technician will work with utility billing staff for connection and disconnection of services, leak detection, and any other related meter issues.  The technician will assist with repair of water and sewer lines and service calls as needed. Technicians are subject to on-call work after hours and weekends.  A valid NC Driver’s License, and a Class B CDL or ability to obtain within class availability after hiring, and ability to obtain Collection, Distribution and Well Certifications required. Subject to working in inside and outside environments and hazardous conditions. A detailed job description and application are available at www.ahoskienc.gov. Parks & Recreation Helper

The Town of Ahoskie is currently seeking a Parks & Recreation helper to perform a variety of duties supporting the department. Work includes serving as helper for the center and department, assisting the public with information and enrollment in programs, cleaning and maintaining, the recreation center, assisting the public in the use of the gym and relaying information. The age requirement is 18-24 years, college student with a major in athletics or sports medicine is preferred. This position pays $11.00 hourly. All interested candidates are asked to email cover letter, resume, references and their completed Town of Ahoskie application to hr@ahoskienc.gov or deliver in person to Ahoskie Town Hall located at 201 W.
