The Human Resources and Payroll Director is responsible for a broad range of human resources, payroll, and benefits administration functions for the Town of Ahoskie. Primary duties include verifying employee time records, processing and issuing payroll through both electronic submission and pay stub distribution, and administering employee benefits, including new hire orientations, enrollments, and changes. The position also develops job postings, reconciles and submits benefits administration reports, and files workers’ compensation and other insurance claims.

In addition, the Human Resources and Payroll Director manages personnel and payroll records, assists with employee event coordination, and supports financial functions by preparing invoices, processing payments, and resolving vendor billing issues. The role also provides back-up support to purchasing, utility billing, and Town Clerk operations as needed.
