Based on the latest forecast, weather conditions in Ahoskie will remain potentially hazardous over the next few days. We may see anything from a trace of ice up to approximately 0.5 inch, with the possibility of some light snow accumulation.
Forecasts indicate the wintry mix is expected to transition to rain on Sunday afternoon. However, temperatures on Monday and Tuesday are expected to be extremely cold, and increasing wind gusts could create additional challenges and hazardous conditions.
Town staff and emergency services have made preparations should conditions worsen, and we will continue to monitor the weather.
If possible, we encourage residents to stay off the roads and avoid unnecessary travel. Please do not put yourself in undue danger, your safety is our top priority.
Stay Safe,
John Moses
Town Manager
